Hate Crimes
2015 Goal: Adopted Hate Crimes ordinance and Hate Crimes Response Plan.
Update: Continue to thoroughly investigate each crime as reported for the possibility of a hate crime enhancement, which is determined by the prosecuting agency, not the arresting agency. These enhancements are governed by state statute, UCA 76-2-203.2, which was enacted in 2009.
Target: A policy and procedure are in place regarding the investigation of alleged hate crimes.
