Trees in Urban Forest

Starting Point: From 2010-2011, Salt Lake City experienced a net loss of trees.

2015 Goal: Increase the number of trees by 2% per year.

Update: Increases in general fund reforestation funding enabled the Urban Forestry Program to plant more trees than it removed in 2015. As it will take some time to recover from a decade of net tree loss, the Urban Forestry Program is looking to continue the 2 year streak of net tree gains.
