There are five regulated points of discharge (outfall points) at the Airport. Under normal conditions, four of these outfall points discharge to the Surplus Canal, while the remaining one discharges to the City Drain located east of the airfield. The Airport requires its tenants and contractors to operate under the 2014 Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan. Measures and controls outlined in this plan include:

• Good housekeeping;
• Preventative maintenance;
• Spill prevention and response procedures;
  
• Source reduction;
  
• Management of runoff;
  
• Inspections;
  
• Pollution prevention training;
  
• Record keeping and internal reporting measures;
  
• Non-storm water discharges; and
  
• Sediment and erosion control.
