Solid Waste Disposal Rate

Description: This metric reports the amount of non-recyclable waste that goes to the landfill annually. The data are provided in units of pounds of waste per passenger.

Baseline: In 2012, the solid waste disposal rate was 0.27 pounds per passenger for the Salt Lake City Airport.

Future Target: During ARP implementation, the airport will aim to reduce its solid waste disposal rate to 0.24 pounds per passenger, 10% below 2012 levels.
